Turning dreams into reality

Every day people just like you go out into the world and make their dreams come true.
They did it. So why can’t you? You are no different than any of these successful people.
True, it sounds hard. In fact, it probably is hard, with a number of obstacles to overcome. That may be reason enough to put your dreams on permanent hold.

Could a plan help?
The easiest way to turn a dream into reality is one step at a time:
· Choose one thing to get done. It can be the smallest of steps!
· Identify what scares you most. Ask yourself: What’s the worst thing that could happen if I face this fear? Write down the worst-case scenario, and also write how you would confront it.
· Identify a small reward for yourself once you’ve accomplished that activity.
· Then just do it. Complete and check that task off your list.
· Now treat yourself to the reward and celebrate!
· Repeat the above steps as many times as necessary and watch yourself get happier and healthier by pursuing what you love.
What beliefs might be limiting you?
Often it is just ourselves and our limiting beliefs that get in the way of turning our dreams into reality; the long standing beliefs we hold about ourselves. We are stubborn wee things too us humans, and we like to be right and prove our point. It takes some work (and doing this work with a coach is REALLY powerful) but you can become more aware of these limiting beliefs and change them to more helpful ones. Here are some questions to get you started in uncovering the beliefs that are getting in your way and currently reinforcing the limiting patterns in your behaviour.
What are the repeated thoughts you have about this?
Do your inner voices say the same thing over and over? What do they say?
What do you believe that makes you feel that way?
What would you need to change inside yourself to enable that shift?
Remember a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step! Take some action today and see where you can go as remember, you are no different to those people you see that you admire, you just need to believe it.
