Get Ultra Ready for Bennachie Ultra Marathon
Now you are signed up for Bennachie Ultra that’s one part of the hard work done! To get to that finish line the next few months will involve a lot more and I want to share with you a supportive community which will help you to get over that finish line in one piece and with all those feelings of satisfaction and achievement.
‘Get Ultra Ready’ is a weekly 1 hour Zoom call with a small group of fellow ultra-runners. I started this concept in June 2020 with a group of runners from all over the UK and it has proved to be extremely enjoyable and beneficial for everyone involved (see the reviews below).
Ultra-running can be a lonesome sport sometimes and I seek to bring likeminded people more easily together so they can achieve their best in their ultra races. I use my Coaching skills to help you overcome inevitable challenges in the run up to the race so you can keep making the best progress possible and keep consistency going! All your ultra-running related questions can also be answered in one place for example about kit, nutrition, training, race strategy, injuries etc. We will learn lots from each other plus I will bring my expertise to the group to help you with these key areas. I will also invite additional experts in from time to time such as running specific physiotherapists, sports nutritionists and other experienced ultra-runners to chat with you.
In the weekly call we talk all things running related, share our goals and actions (which makes us more likely to achieve them) and we celebrate the progress made. Each week you leave feeling motivated, inspired and organised with 1 or 2 action steps to keep you focused, on track and moving forwards.
This community is for you if you want to:
· Prepare well for Bennachie Ultra marathon
· Be on the start line in October feeling ready and confident to take on the challenge
· Meet likeminded people, learn helpful tips and strategies and be part of a team
· Get a boost of inspiration and motivation each week
· Be more consistent with your training and nutrition with the accountability of the group
· Gain expert guidance and support throughout from me (certified Health Coach, Ultra-running Coach, GB ultra-trail runner and current Bennachie Ultra Marathon female record holder!)
What’s the commitment?
· £12 a month
· Starting Monday 10th of May
· 7.45pm each Monday for 1 hour

When I joined Get Ultra Ready, I really didn’t know what to expect as I didn’t know anyone. But joining was one of the positive to come out of lockdown. Since then Meryl and the team have supported me so much, probably more than they even realise. Running can been seen as a lonesome sport, especially long-distance trail running. However, at Get Ultra Ready you’re never alone, you are part of a community, part of a team! We share stories, knowledge, expertise and keep each other motivated and accountable. Since joining, I’ve gone on to run my first 110 KM Ultra Marathon. The goal was to finish in one piece, which I did and it felt great, especially when I found out I’d finished first lady and had broke the female course record by 2hrs.
